Lie Detector Tests.

If you are required to take a polygraph test commonly known as a lie detector test, you should contact our polygraph examiner who utilizes the most scientifically proven test with the most validated methods.

Polygraphs are lie detector tests used to determine if a person is deceptive in their responses about a situation or point in time. The instrument measures and records physiological responses such as pulse rate, blood pressure, respiration, and skin conductivity while yes/no questions are being answered. Polygraphers use the recorded measurements to determine if a person is responding truthfully.

When a person lies, their sympathetic nervous system responds to prepare for danger or attack, which causes increased heart rate, blood pressure, and other bodily responses detected with a polygraph instrument. The lie detector test typically takes 2-4 hours and cannot be fooled by voice inflection or facial expressions because the device does not depend on what you say but how your body reacts when you say it.

Criminal Defense Polygraph.

Criminal defense attorneys are often not told the complete story by their clients. Defense strategy is dependent on the defense attorney knowing if their client is truthful regarding the facts of the case. A lie detector test may be the key.

Our investigator is a polygraph examiner and a licensed private investigator with over 28 years of criminal investigative experience, well-versed knowledge of criminal proceedings, including court testimony, and can greatly assist the defense team in finding the complete truth. Additionally, we can provide witness preparation and can take sworn statements.

PCSOT polygraphs are required by state law for convicted sexual offenders who voluntarily agree to stipulated lie detector testing as a condition of controlled release. These lie detector tests are comprised of instance offense exams, instance offense investigative exams, sexual history exam I and II, and maintenance exams. The PCSOT testing is an integral third leg of the triad treatment plan, consisting of the polygraph examiner, counselor/treatment, and probation/parole supervision.

We offer testing at a discrete/confidential location, with testing available after work hours and on weekends. We do accept payments and schedule testing once payment has been fulfilled.

Workplace Polygraph.

Cox Complete Investigative Agency is an Employee Polygraph Protection Act (EPPA) compliant polygraph service. EPPA, passed in 1988, prohibits most private, non-governmental companies from requiring pre-employment lie detector testing; some exceptions are employee applicants for armored car services, security alarm companies, security guard firms, and those associated with the manufacture, distribution, or dispensing of controlled substances, such as a nurse or pharmacist.

We offer pre-employment polygraph examinations for allowable private companies, as outlined above, as well as for law enforcement agencies.

We are also prepared to conduct polygraph examinations for employees suspected of incidents in the workplace that result in specific economic loss or injury to the employer, such as theft or embezzlement.
